Project summary

Robotic Inspection of Large Sewers

Sewerage is one of the most important global infrastructures requiring continuous inspection: if damaged or blocked, there is a significant environmental, social and public health risk. Our solution for large sewer inspection builds up on a commercial robot platform, providing a new approach with respect to existing market solutions, targeting sewer mains with diameter 800mm significantly increasing inspection performance.

Inloc Robotics

INLOC ROBOTICS is a research SME offering solutions in the field of robotics and generally in the area of automation and control, including sensors, actuators, embedded systems, monitoring systems, etc., providing services both in engineering and expert consulting.

We are experts in robot localization and navigation, with emphasis in denied GPS environments, proposing sensor fusion systems based on inertial measurement units, computer vision and other ad-hoc sensors, depending on the application, to solve the 3D localization and positioning. Once located, if the robot device is mobile, we can also develop its autonomous navigation capability.

We also offer solutions in the area of computer vision and data analysis (deep learning) applied to other fields as may be health.
